The Virginia Museum of History & Culture is dedicated to accurately presenting our shared history. Content has been created over the course of many years and may reflect previously accepted historical interpretation or outdated terminology. Content is under active and ongoing review to make updates that better align with current scholarship and contemporary language. Because of the quantity of articles, finding aids, catalog records, and other resources, this review will take time, but VMHC staff are committed to this work.
