It is hard to believe that our grand re-opening was three months ago—time flies when you are welcoming thousands of enthusiastic Virginians! Thank you for believing in the importance of this transformation. Because of you and your fellow supporters, we are seeing how the new VMHC can better serve our community. The building and grounds are beautiful, the exhibitions and displays are informative and have great depth, and our staff is fully engaged in providing a meaningful experience for all who enter our doors.
As we embark on this new chapter as your state history museum, it is my pleasure to invite you to our annual State of the Museum briefing on Wednesday, September 21, at 6:00 PM. I look forward to sharing some of our recent successes and also providing a glimpse of our exciting future plans for exhibitions and programs. All these plans will help us increasingly fulfill the promise of our History Matters capital campaign. Light hors d’oeuvres and libations will be provided and our galleries will be open for viewing.
