We strive to connect visitors with our remarkable collection of artifacts, manuscripts, and artwork. Visiting groups are encouraged to call ahead to arrange for a guided tour with a museum educator or choose a self-guided tour and view the museum at their own pace. Contact Maggie Creech, Director of Education, at mcreech@virginiahistory.org or 804.342.9652 for more information.

Your group can choose to explore one of our temporary exhibits or one of our award winning permanent exhibits. We do not offer guided tours without reservation. Please note your tour is not confirmed until you hear from the Manager of Museum Programs.

Tours price at $14/person for up to a one hour tour. Tours price at $17/person for up to a two hour tour. Your tour ticket does include the price of general admission, so you are welcome to stay and explore on your own after the guided tour is over.
