Curators At Home: From the Vault

This program from May 1, 2020, is part of our Curators At Home Series taped by curatorial staff members from their own homes as they worked remotely in response to COVID-19.

The Virginia Museum of History & Culture cares for a collection of nearly 9 million items so only a small fraction is on display at one time. Dig deep into the vault and explore the stories behind a pair of rare life portraits of President James Madison and his wife Dolley, and an 1830s French wallpaper depicting one of Virginia’s most iconic natural wonders.
