‘Virginia Distilled’ Annual Spirits Festival Returns to the Virginia Museum of History & Culture

Richmond, VA – September is Virginia Spirits Month, and the Virginia Museum of History & Culture is celebrating with the return of its Virginia Distilled festival on Saturday, September 9th. Guests can enjoy unlimited samples from some of the state’s best distilleries, live music and entertainment, delicious food from local vendors, and after-hours access to the museum’s newest exhibition, Apollo: When We Went to the Moon.

Virginia Distilled offers an unforgettable experience to appreciate the craftsmanship and artistry behind Virginia’s vibrant craft spirit’s culture. In addition to exploring the flavors and styles that make up the state's craft spirits scene, guests will also be treated to an 18th century barrel making demonstration from Jamestown Cooperage, and a display of educational materials from the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States will provide an opportunity to learn more about the history of distilling in America. Virginia Distilled is the second in a series of events throughout the fall celebrating the history of alcohol in the Commonwealth. Virginia Vines is scheduled for October 21 and will highlight the finest wines produced in vineyards that have made Virginia an internationally recognized and awarded region for winemaking.
